2013 Fall Camp Interview: Running Back, Josh Hill

Josh Hill looks to pick up where he left off in 2012.
This is week one in the Division III football season but for the 'Cats and their faithful fans we'll have to wait one more week before it's real.  It's going to be real too as the 'Cats are going to have a monster test to start the season and I'm on the edge of my seat to see how this program responds to the competition and challenges that await this squad.

One of the key components to the 'Cats 2013 hopes is Senior Running Back Josh Hill.  Josh had a break out 2011 season and was primed to have an All-American 2012 senior campaign, but it wasn't meant to be.  Hill averaged 177 total yards (rushing & receiving) during the first three games of the 2012 season before he had to shut it down for the season.  The Linfield offense continued to flourish for the reminder of the season but Hill's explosive dynamic and big game heroics were missed.  Thankfully Josh and his family thought it was worth it to apply for the medical redshirt to come back for one more year.  The Linfield running backs were already explosive with Sophomores John Shaffer and Tavon Willis returning but Josh Hill's return adds a layer of explosiveness that would be hard to match at the Division III level.

I tracked down Josh after practice this past Monday and chatted for a few minutes about the injury last season, about if there was any hesitation to come back, his thoughts on the 2013 'Cat Backs, and much more.
