Time for the Catdome family to rally and extending a helping hand.

When Linfield goes up to Puget Sound this weekend to play the Loggers the 'Cats are hoping to bring a little extra something with them. No, not a secrete weapon or a trick play, but the 'Cats are trying their best to bring along as big of check as possible so we can to help out one of their fellow small college football peers who was paralyzed this summer in Hawaii in a diving accident.

Sophomore Defensive Back, Corey Obungen, suffered the injury while with teammates at Lanikai Beach. The accident shattered his C-5 vertebra and basically severing his spinal cord. The injuries left Obungen without any movement in his legs and very limited movement in his upper body. He now faced the likely possibility of never being able to walk again.

The money the 'Cats are trying to raise will help offset medical costs and for rehabilitation.

Linfield sports has more on this effort and contact information for you if you want to help. Pass this message out to everyone in the 'Catdome and let's see if we can help this young man out.
